1. Processes of Change of Fundamental Rights and Legal Systems

FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE PROCESSES OF CHANGE OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND LEGAL SYSTEMS IN THE AGE OF THE RIGHTS FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

In order to protect the future of our future, many processes to effect change are required. These processes are currently being worked upon at a national and international level. They are directly linked with human rights law, the rights of indigenous peoples, and the increasing importance of the rights of nature and animals. The legal fields of international economics and the environment have long worked in parallel, but nowadays they increasingly cross over. These processes also bring out changes in our way of thinking, our recognition of principles of law, our reasoning and revisions to our constitutions and statutes. In this era of globalisation it is important to set out the varied perspectives regarding legal protection for future generations, and the Normandy Chair for Peace as a team specifically focuses on this research.
